ALICE HPC Access Request Form for FWN Users

Terms and conditions

  • You or the person for whom you are requesting an ALICE account are a member of the Faculty of Science (FWN).
  • ALICE HPC is a pay-per-use service provided by Leiden University and its usage and support costs are currently paid by users faculties.
  • The current cost-sharing model might change.
  • You have carefully read the ALICE HPC documentation and you agree with its policies.
  • Information Management (FWN/IM) will automatically process and store your submitted information.
  • Submitted information will be shared with the ISSC for account creation.
  • Once your ALICE account is created, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with further instructions.
  • This form must be submitted for all FWN ALICE user account requests.
  • If you are requesting an ALICE account for multiple users,  fill this form and submit it multiple times.

Project Directories

 
For teams or groups of users that want to work collaboratively on ALICE, it is possible to set up project directories as a shared workspace.
Project directories can be used for example to share data, software/pipelines and data products.
Project directory setting can be modified at any time by the PI/project leader via the ALICE helpdesk.

If you use the cluster for multiple purposes, please specify them in the text field provided.

could be a name, address or location, but it could also be bank account numbers, telephone
numbers or post codes with house numbers.
Sensitive information, such as someone’s race, religion or health, is called extraordinary
personal data. These data have an extra layer of legal protection.
Your ALICE account will be active for the time period specified here. Account extensions are possible according to the terms and conditions established by the ALICE documentation.
ALICE is not a data management system where research data can be stored for longer periods of time. The ISSC might charge any used storage space. Contact the helpdesk in doubt.
